This Cherry Blossom & Garden Tour takes you to the most spectacular sights of this beautiful country, while the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom. For a limited time frame each year, the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) literally litter the ground, and the weather is perfect for visiting the natural and historical sites of Japan. To ensure you make the most of your tour, a professional English speaking guide will accompany you from Tokyo to Osaka. CHERRY BLOSSOM & GARDEN TOUR

DAY ONE – TOKYO   Commence your trip - depart Australia

Enjoy your overnight flight to Tokyo.

DAY TWO – TOKYO   

Arrive in bustling Tokyo. Check in to your hotel for the next three nights.

This evening you will meet our Tour Guide for an introduction with your fellow travellers.           

 

DAY THREE – TOKYO   (B/L/D)   

Spend the day exploring bustling Tsukiji Fish Market, Ueno Park (the best place to view Cherry Blossoms), the famous Asakusa Temple, and more. Your Welcome Dinner will be a delicious traditional Japanese feast.

 

DAY FOUR – TOKYO   (B/-/-)

Today your guide will take you on the metro (rail) as you explore Tokyo. The morning will be spent at Meiji Shrine, then travel to eclectic Harajuku where you will get a taste of modern Japanese culture. Head to the hectic yet organised Shibuya Crossing and marvel at the busiest crossing in the world. In the afternoon you can return to the hotel with your guide or make your own way back after exploring more of Tokyo at your leisure.                                                            

DAY FIVE – MT FUJI   (B/L/D)

Today you travel towards one of the natural highlights of Japan, majestic Mount Fuji. Stop at Gotemba Peace Park and be in awe of the chalky Stupa. Travel by gondola on the Owakudani Ropeway and admire the spectacular views. Finish your wonderful day on a fantastic themed Lake Ashi Cruise.

DAY SIX – MT FUJi - TAKAYAMA   (B/L/D)  

Travel to the famous 5th Station of Mount Fuji, where youcan admire the spectacular views and magnificent mountain.The tallest peak in the country, it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Transfer to Takayama for the next two nights

 

DAY SEVEN – TAKAYAMA   (B/-/D)  

Your guide will take you on a full day tour with visits to the Exhibition Hall and the Folkcraft Museum. Wander through the quaint streets filled with traditional thatched roof buildings and merchant homes.

 

DAY EIGHT - TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA   (B/L/D)   

On your way to Kanazawa you will stop at the World Heritage Listed Shirakawago. Spend the afternoon admiring the gardens and castle of Kenrokuen before checking in to your hotel in Kanazawa.

DAY NINE - KANAZAWA - KYOTO   (B/-/D)

Transfer to Kyoto and wander through the Heian Shrine Garden, see the famous Golden Pavilion, and walk along the Cherry Blossom lined Path of Philosophy. Check in to your hotel for two nights.

 

DAY TEN - KYOTO - NARA - KYOTO   (B/L/-)

Spend the day in beautiful Nara exploring Todaji Temple and feeding the friendly bowing deer in the Park. The inquisitive deer are used to visitors. Back in Kyoto visit the flatland Nijo Castle.

 

DAY ELEVEN - KYOTO - HIROSHIMA   (B/L/-)

Wander through the famous red Torii Gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine then take the Bullet Train to Hiroshima where you can absorb the atmosphere of the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Dome.

 

DAY TWELVE - HIROSHIMA - HIMEJI - OSAKA   (B/L/-)

Visit the Itsukushima Shrine before taking the Bullet Train to Himeji. Explore Himeji Castle then transfer to Osaka and check in to your hotel for the next two nights.

DAY THIRTEEN – OSAKA - KOBE - OSAKA   (B/-/D)

Travel to Kobe and learn about Japan’s famous Sake, then return to Osaka for a relaxing River Cruise. Stop at popular Osaka Castle for photos amongst the Cherry Blossom trees, then wander through Kuromon Ichiba Market. Enjoy your final group dinner together.

 

DAY FOURTEEN – DEPART OSAKA   (B/-/-)

After breakfast the day is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the Airport for your flight home.

DAY FIFTEEN – ARRIVE AUSTRALIA   (-/-/-)
